Dario Destefano – Cello

He evelopped his artistic experience thanks to the teachers Renzo Brancaleon, Antonio Janigro and Johannes Gorotsky.
At the end of his studies, after having obtained them with high honours, summa cum laude, both at the Conservatory of Turin and in Germany at the Hochschule of Dusseldorf, he has continued his career both as concert performer and teacher. In 1986, when he is only 22, he wins the competition as first cellist in the orchestra of the Bologna town theatre with which he has actively collaborated. Subsequently, he works with the Turin RAI orchestra, being part for more than 10 years (from 1997 to 2008). He has made important tournées all over the world and has performed numerous compositions in absolute premiere.
He plays a Santagiuliana cello (Vicenza 1821).

Filippo M. Del Noce – Flute

Filippo M. Del Noce – Flute

Currently solo flute in the Filharmonia of Szczecin, Filippo Del Noce began his musical studies in the conservatory “G.Verdi” of Turin in 2007, in the class of the Prof. Antonmario Semolini. After graduating with full marks and honours, he moved to Austria where he attended the Graz Kunstuniversität with the prof. Dieter Flury and he collaborated several times with the Wiener Staatsoper. At the same time he became first flute of the opera theater of Ruse. In Bulgaria he performed around the whole country in orchestra as well as a soloist. After completing his master in Graz with full marks and distinction, Del Noce, fascinated by the teaching of the renowned flutist Davide Formisano, decided to conclude his experience in Bulgaria and follow him in Stuttgart, getting accepted in his prestigious class. Del Noce won several prizes in numerous competitions in Italy and attended prestigious masterclasses with the professors Peter-Lukas Graf and Patrick Gallois.

He practiced with musicians like G. Deplus, G. Garbarino, T. Friedli, F. and B. Mezzena. In 1992, he received the 1° prize with honorable mention to the National Conservatory of Nice under the guidance of M. Lethiec. He has collaborated with the most prestigious Italian orchestras and has performed in France, Switzerland, Germany and Japan. He has been teaching clarinet since 1984, and also since 2005 at the Conservatorio “G. Cantelli” of Novara. He plays clarinets Buffet Crampon and uses Rico reeds.

Alessandro Marangoni – Piano

Alessandro Marangoni – Piano

Born in Italy in 1979, Alessandro Marangoni studied at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole with Maria Tipo. He graduated with honours in piano and in philosophy at the Università di Pavia as a merit student of the Almo Collegio Borromeo. After winning national and international awards, he has appeared throughout Europe, America, Australia and China as a soloist and as a chamber musician, collaborating with some of Italy’s leading performers, including Mario Ancillotti, Aldo Ceccato, Valentina Cortese, Enrico Dindo, Massimo Quarta, Quirino Principe, Milena Vukotic and the Nuovo Quartetto Italiano. He has also given more than a hundred concerts for the Second Life virtual platform. In 2007 recorded the piano works of Victor de Sabata for the fortieth anniversary of the latter’s death, playing in a recital at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan with Daniel Barenboim. For Naxos he has recorded the complete piano works of Rossini (Péchés de vieillesse), Clementi’s Gradus ad Parnassum (8.572325-28) and Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Piano Concertos (8.572823). In 2007 he won the prestigious Amici di Milano International Prize for Music and in 2019 the “F. Abbiati” Prize. He created the Chromoconcerto with Pierpaolo Venier and he is the pianist of Ensemble Nuove Musiche. Alessandro is international testimonial for the campaign “Music against child labour” of the United Nations.

Francesco Ottonello – Percussion

Francesco Ottonello – Percussion

Percussionist and musicologist, he trained between Milan and Turin, where he graduated with a speciality in percussion instruments, composition and instrumentation for band. He has played in Italy (Teatro alla Scala, Teatro Carlo Felice, Orchestra Verdi di Milano, Europa Galante) and abroad (Komorní Opera Praha). He studied orchestra conducting in the Prague and Liège Conservatories. Among the directors with whom he played, we remember: Riccardo Muti, Fabio Luisi, Daniel Baremboim, Gustavo Dudamel, Daniel Harding, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Shlomo Mintz. He graduated in musicology at the University of Milan (lecturer Prof. E. Sala), and completed a thesis on Gioacchino Rossini.

Si è diplomato in pianoforte, composizione e direzione d’orchestra presso i Conservatori di Torino e di Milano. Successivamente si è perfezionato presso l’École Normale di Parigi e l’Accademia Chigiana di Siena sotto la guida di Franco Ferrara, ove nel 1978 ha ottenuto il diploma di merito. Dal 1982 al 1994 ha lavorato come assistente musicale di Giuseppe Sinopoli, partecipando attivamente a numerose produzioni operistiche e sinfoniche presso il Metropolitan di New York, il Covent Garden di Londra, la Deutsche Oper di Berlino, il Nazionaltheater di Monaco di Baviera, il Teatro alla Fenice di Venezia, dirigendo e collaborando al contempo con le più prestigiose orchestre italiane, europee, americane e asiatiche. Nel gennaio 1995 ha effettuato una lunga tournée in Giappone con l’Orchestra Nazionale della RAI. Con Giuseppe Giacomini ha inciso per la casa Bongiovanni, inoltre ha realizzato molte incisioni per la Capriccio, Ricordi, Fonit-Cetra, Disc Montagne e Urtext. Ha lavorato con solisti quali Maria Tipo, Cyprien Katsaris, Laura De Fusco, Horacio Gutierrez, David Geringas, Placido Domingo, Juan Pons. Dal 1996 al 1998 è stato direttore principale dell’ Opera di Bellas Artes a Città del Messico, ove dal 2003 al 2006 ha eseguito l’intero ciclo de “L’Anello del Nibelungo” di R. Wagner, ottenendo un entusiastico successo da parte del pubblico e della critica. Nell’Ottobre 2004 ha debuttato presso il Teatro dell’Opera di Houston, ove ha eseguito in prima assoluta la nuova opera di Daniel Catan “Salsipuedes”, riscuotendo grandi consensi da parte del pubblico e della stampa internazionale. È docente di lettura della partitura presso il Conservatorio “G. Verdi” di Torino.

Was born in Genoa in 1960. Has read Classical letters (Humanities) and started the piano practice at the age of 7. He completed his Organ curriculum with a Diploma at the Conservatorio “Paganini” in 1983 and was awarded a Premier Prix de Virtuosité in the class of Lionel Rogg in Geneva in 1986. In 1989 he became Chorus Master at the Opéra de Lyon and had the chance (and the pleasure) to be chosen by eminent Maestros, like M. Arena, B. Campanella, E. Krivine, N. Marriner and J.E. Gardiner, to be their Assistant. Since 1994 he has conducted both Symphonic and Operatic repertoire in all the five continents (from Scandinavia to Israel, from the USA to the Far East, from New Zealand to Mexico) but mostly in Europe, where he has been in front of Orchestras like the London Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC NOW, OSPA, TSO, Philharmonie de Monaco, Jerusalem Symphony, ICO, Prague Philharmonia, Hungarian Radio etc. In his own country he has conducted at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Teatro Regio in Parma and in Turin, the Donizetti Festival, Venice, Cagliari, Genova, Catania etc.

Renata Campanella – Soprano

Renata Campanella – Soprano

Born in Catania, she began her musical studies at a very young age, graduating with the highest marks in singing at the Istituto Musicale “V. Bellini” in Catania. She has enriched the study of the operatic repertoire with masters such as Alain Billard, Enza Ferrari. She attended the Verdi – Tuscan Academy of Parma and the Lyric Academy of Osimo directed by M° Sergio Segalini. In 1997, she made her debut in the “L’Arcadia in Brenta” by B. Galuppi at the Festival dell’Opera giocosa of ’700 in Bassano del Grappa (VI). At 33° Martina Franca’s Valle dIitria (TA) Festival sang “L’Oratorio per il Santo Natale” by L. Leo. She played Mimi in “La bohème” by G. Puccini at the Teatro Asioli of Correggio (RE), at the Palazzo S. Sebastiano di Mantova. She also appeared in the summer season as Ferrara in Arezzo and recently in Castell’arquato (PC) directed by Master Rolando panerai; Anna in “Don Giovanni” by W. A. Mozart at the Rome Festival; La Contessa in “Le nozze di Figaro” by W. A. Mozart at the Teatro Asioli of Correggio (RE); Giovanna in “Ernani” by G. Verdi at the Festival delle Terre cerdiane; Cio-Cio San in “Madama Butterfly” by Giovanna Puccini in Ferrara and Pavia; Floria Tosca in “Tosca” by G. Puccini; Rosina in “Il barbiere di Siviglia” by G. Rossini in Lecco. On the occasion of the bicentenary celebrations of the birth of V. Bellini, she participated in the staging of the opera “Adelson and Salvini” and in the recording of the CD “Tribute to Bellini” produced by the Bellini Festival Foundation. She also sang at the Teatro La Nuova Fenice di Osimo (AN), at the Teatro G. B. Pergolesi in Jesi (AN), at the “Teatro Massimo Bellini” in Catania. She has won numerous international awards.
